On February 19th, the simple donation ceremony was held in TECH-LONG workshop in Luogang District of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province Youth Development Fund Secretary- General Mr. Lin Qiaolin, Development Zone Education Bureau Secretary Sun Liping, officers of TECH-LONG and P&G, the teachers and students representatives from Hubei Macheng attended the ceremony, and wit the important moment together with nearly 100 employees of Tech-Long. The snow disaster affected millions of people, when above two enterprises have known the stricken information of Deshengzhai Central Primary School from China Youth Development Fund, the senior officers of above two enterprises reached the common sense to donate to the school, which is the 131st Hope Primary School donated by P&G, and is also the first time for P&G to jointly support public welfare establishment and fulfill the social responsibilities with the domestic upper stream suppliers.
Development Zone Education Bureau Secretary Sun Liping said, “I’m very glad that our outstanding private enterprise can cooperate with multi-national enterprise in charity and actively undertake the social responsibilities, particularly when the society encounters big difficult, which is the excellent model and example, this cooperation is one of the important output for two enterprises to share development, we hope to see the aissance of more partnerships, and hope the supplying chain of multi-national enterprise can become the chain for passing social responsibilities, and promote the harmonic development of the society.”
P&G donation representative, P&G Asia Region Purchasing Department Vice Supervisor Ye Lin expressed, “2008 is the 20th ceremony for P&G in China, for 20 years, our target is to improve the life of Chinese consumers, through out efforts, many P&G brands have become the intimate partners for the daily life of Chinese consumers. In order to achieve this target, P&G is also actively undertake the responsibility of promoting the development of society, and return the society through support education, public heath and rescuing disaster. Facing the snow disaster in South China, P&G, as the multi-national enterprise locating in South China, is obligated to undertake the social responsibility, assist the government and stricken people to out of the trouble, after realizing the disaster, P&G donated RMB1.02 million and relative articles for the passengers in Guangzhou in short period, today, the successful cooperation in public welfare establishments with TECH-LONG benefits from the successful business cooperation of both enterprises but also benefit from P&G who has been dedicated to public welfare establishments, we are very glad to see that the integration strength for us to local society is also strengthening when we are developing with the upper stream partners!”
As the important initiator of this cooperation, P&G has linked tightly to Hope Project and started to support the Hope Project since 1996, and is the multinational enterprise in China who has donated most Hope Primary Schools, for 12 years, P&G has donated RMB32 million to the Hope Project, constructed 131 hope primary schools, and assisted more than 70,000 children to obtain a good learning environment. With rich experience and innovative thought, P&G has developed the unique P&G Public Welfare Mode — “Begins with me, affect consumers to assist the desired children in living, study and growth together with business partners”, which has developed a new road in donation of education, in recent years, P&G has jointly donated to the Hope Project together with business partners, including TECH-LONG, P&G has cooperate with 16 business partners to contribute to the Hope Project, and jointly donated 31 Hope Primary Schools. As it says by the P&G Foreign Affairs Department Manager Wang Chengcang, “It is the important strategy for P&G in undertaking social responsibilities to jointly support the Hope Project with business partners, after 10 years of efforts, we have successfully implanted public welfare establishments into business chain, and formed the “green business chain”, currently, we are actively devoted to promoting the flourishing and development of this chain, promoting the development of the industry and the society in a wide range! After cooperating with 15 lower stream retail enterprise, it is the first time for P&G to cooperate with upper stream supplier in public welfare establishments, it is another breaking and extension for our green business chain. For the 2018 India Beverage Technology Expo, we has particularly exhibited the brand new CPX4, the 5th generation rotating blowing-filling-capping machine, which is specifically designed for the low-speed output in the India market with a maximum output of 9600BPH(500ml bottle), thus building up the momentum for the India market.
During the exposition, despite of the hot weather, dusty exhibition hall and only two-day preparation, our engineers made full use of every second and worked three nights long to finish the preparation. On the kick off day, TECH-LONG's equipment was started successfully, attracting a great number of visitors.
As the only participant with blowing-filling-capping machines in hand, TECH-LONG attracted one batch of visitors after another, who raised their thumbs to show their praise to our machines. We felt proud of ourselves and cheered for equipment made in China.
On the client appreciation meeting held in the Westin Hotel in Bombay on the night of Oct. 24, TECH-LONG invited all clients, suppliers and industrial friends it had developed in the past decade to discuss together on the revolution and future trend of the beverage market in India, where cooperation intentions were reached with quite a number of clients. TECH-LONG's automatic packing and detection, labeling and loading system was recently approved by a fireworks company in Guangdong Province and received positive feedback from the customer. This success has enabled TECH-LONG to enter the fireworks production industry and grow its market presence.
This fully automated fireworks production line system includes packing and detection, labeling, and loading capabilities, with a speed of 600 boxes per hour, meeting all production line requirements. Prior to implementation, manual loading of explosive boxes weighing 25KG required extensive and intensive labor, with low production efficiency and high safety risks. Through the implementation of TECH-LONG's system, full automation has been achieved, with effective reductions in on-site labor, resulting in reduced long-term labor costs and substantially lower risks of harm to workers in the event of explosion occurrences.
In the whole set of system, TECH-LONG has applied manipulator in labeling process in an innovative way, which gains unexpected effect. Compared with traditional labeling method, manipulator labeling is very flexible, and the labeling location can be changed as needed. With sound compatibility, it can better adapt to diverse product model and variable labeling location, etc.
In loading process, we have introduced industrial robots who will pile up the whole box of explosives neatly in an enclosed container truck. This groundbreaking application is the first of its kind in the fireworks industry, so is in the entire loading sector in China. Ensuring More Precise and More Efficient Production
The Amway Nutrilite factory in Guangzhou produces tens of millions of bottles of products annually. To ensure timely shipment, the factory has built three production lines, which entails three robot sorting lines for cooperative work. Manager Yang of the Production Department of the factory said: each production line can produce Nutrilite products in two capacities, with the production capacities of 3,600BPH and 4,800BPH. Workers put empty bottles on the platform in batches, and the bottles will be transferred to the picking station by the conveyor. Then robots will appear, and packs of desiccant are transported to the belt via vibrating disk. The visual system would shoot the picture and coordinate of each pack of desiccant, and offer feedback to picking robots. Robots would quickly grab the packs of desiccant and put them into empty bottles precisely. Bottles will be conveyed along its way, and enter the checkweigher to be weighed. Bottles with no desiccant will be rejected, and only bottles with desiccant could enter the filling machine and be filled with protein powder. Finished products of Amway Nutrilite will be sent out, labeled, case packed, palletized and shipped.
The increase of labor cost has driven enterprises to regularly update their production lines in order to keep up with development needs. Thereby automatic and intelligent production is a demand of Amway.
Safer and More Precise
Previously, workers worked in shifts, and one production line was operated by three shifts. It means that each shift of workers had to stand for 8 hours and keep picking up packs of desiccant and throwing them into bottles. Workers, doing such simple, repetitive yet dull and monotonous work, were prone to suffer from occupational diseases, such as strain on the neck and back. Now robots are used to automatically pick up desiccant, therefore avoiding pollution when workers touch desiccant. What’s more, the detection of checkweigher can ensure that each bottle is filled with a pack of desiccant.
As such, the production task has been fulfilled efficiently with reduced cost. Amway was quite cautious of the preliminary plan of the automation renovation project. The project should abide by requirements for food and medicine production, and 100% qualification rate must be ensured from dust-free workshop to food grade materials. Since undertaking the project, TECH-LONG has started to design each detail and modify repeatedly. Whenever we encountered a technical problem, we would invite the responsible person of Amway to the scene for test and verification. Thanks to the joint efforts of the two partners, the project has proceeded smoothly.
At the material lacking picking station, TECH-LONG has designed a smart picking buffer platform, which makes backflow caused by multiple packs or bottles no longer a problem. The design has been highly commended by the customer. The robot automatic picking scheme of TECH-LONG has improved the efficiency and quality and made production more convenient.
Workers can quickly change the bottle types via switch program. As the daily production ends, all conveyors and robot working stations have to be cleaned and sterilized. Material picking tooling can be dismantled easily and cleaned, and the robot feeding central axis is of seal protection and poses no pollution to products.
The executives of Amway were very satisfied with the automatic packaging production line designed by TECH-LONG. In March 2017, the project was checked and accepted. At present, the production line has become a must-see for consumers visiting the Amway factory, which has fed the confidence of Amway as the company seeks to expand its production lines.
