From the total number of inventions, patent grant rate, globalization, influence and growth of the five dimensions of evaluation, to better stimulate the innovation vitality of enterprises, optimize the regional industrial structure to provide scientific and professional evaluation reference.

In this list, GDI think tank scientifically, comprehensively and objectively evaluates the innovation ability of enterprises from five aspects, namely the total number of inventions, patent grant rate, globalization, influence and growth.
The total number of inventions in this report is based on the De Winter patent family, and each De Winter patent family is counted as one invention. In the Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI), using the "one invention, one record principle", all subsequent applications for the same invention patent are recorded as "equivalent patents" and are grouped into the same "patent family".
As one of the standards to measure the quality of innovation, the patent grant rate is the ratio of the number of inventions granted to the total number of inventions in the past five years.
Globalization The Globalization indicator indicates the extent to which a company seeks protection for its patents in all markets around the world, and is primarily measured by the number of international patents a company has. An international patent is a patent that has been successfully applied for and granted in a foreign country.
Influence The influence of a patented invention can be considered by subsequent references to the invention by other institutions in the patent application process. The impact index of this report calculates the patent citation frequency of enterprises' patents in the past five years after excluding self-citation.
This report evaluates the growth rate of each company by calculating the compound growth rate of total inventions in the past five years.
List company profile
Listed enterprises belong to the region analysis
According to the list, Huangpu District has the most companies on the list, accounting for 44 percent, followed by Tianhe District (14 percent) and Panyu District (12 percent). Huangpu District and Tianhe District have more than half of the listed enterprises.
In recent years, the level of scientific and technological innovation in Huangpu District has been greatly improved. The average number of international patents of the companies on this list is 46. Among them, the advanced manufacturing industry led the high-end equipment manufacturing industry (77 cases) and the new material industry (53 cases) with 126 cases.

The list shows that the average number of patents cited by the listed companies in the advanced manufacturing industry is far ahead, reaching 16,998 times. Data show that the 36 private enterprises on the list cover nine industries.
